Both the men's and the women's Under-20 teams brought the silverware home from the Division B European Championships in the last fortnight.

Mahalbasic Earns MVP // 28 July 2009

Rasid Mahalbasic of Austria was named MVP of the 2009 U20 European Championship Men, Division B.

Mahalbasic averaged 19.4 points and 10 rebounds in leading his team to a fifth place finish at the event.

Dutch Treat // 26 July 2009

Both the Netherlands and the Czech Republic had secured promotion to Division A at the U20 European Championship Men, Division B in Skopje, but on Sunday the two met to see who would go home with a gold medal around their necks.

The Czech Republic's David Jelinek hit two free throws with 12 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but that extra period belonged to the Dutch.

Day Ten: Czechs, Dutch Earn Promotion // 26 July 2009

Netherlands and Czech Republic earned promotion to the U20 European Championship Division A by reaching the Division B final.

The Dutch remained perfect in the competition in FYROM by knocking off Sweden 71-69 while the Czechs handed Poland their first defeat of the championship with a 79-66 win.

Day Nine: Bulgaria, Portugal Win // 25 July 2009

Aleksandar Georgiev collected 24 points, nine rebounds and six assists to lead Bulgaria to an 84-80 victory over Norway in the final classification round of the U20 European Championship Division B.

Bulgaria took first place in Group J with the win.

Day Eight: Poles, Dutch Role Into Semis // 24 July 2009

Poland and the Netherlands moved one step closer to promotion to Division A after booking their spots for the semi-finals of the U20 European Championship Division B with perfect records.

Poland scored the final seven points to knock off Georgia 71-62 and take top honors in the qualifying round Group E with a 3-0 record. Piotr Pamul scored 18 points and Jakub Wojciechowski added 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists and three blocks for Poland, who will face the Czech Republic in the semis.

Day Seven: Netherlands, Poland 2-0 In Qualifying Round // 23 July 2009

The Netherlands and Poland both took a big step to reaching the semi-finals of the U20 European Championship Men Division B by improving to 2-0 in their respective qualifying round groups.

Stefan Mladenovic scored five of his 18 points in the final 47 seconds as the Netherlands held off Austria 67-62 to improve to 2-0 in the Group F.
