Ukraine outscored Israel 84-68 to end a two game losing streak after a one-sided game.

After two losses in a row Ukraine needed this win to secure their spot in the 5-8 classification games, and finish the Qualifying Round with a 2-3 record.

Israel lost for the third time in a row and will play the 9-12 classification games after a 0-5 record in Group E.

The game started with a minute of silence to honor Ralph Klein, the legendary Israeli coach, who passed away this morning at the age of 77.

Sergiy Gladyr hit 23 points including five three pointers and Oleksandr Sizov added 22 and 11 rebounds.

Gal Mekel led Israel with 17 points, Oded Brandwein added 13 and Eran Asante-Asare scored 12 with seven rebounds.

"Tonight we were more concentrated," said Gladyr after the game. "Because we have a short rotation, we get tired at times and lose concentration. Today it didn't happen so we won."

Ukraine took the lead right from the start, and quickly climbed to 11-6.

Israel fought back with Akhiad Bukra connecting points but Sizov responded and Gladyr scored as Ukraine took 21-18 advantage after one quarter.

Ukraine took off before Mekel stepped up and with eight points right before the half moved Israel to a four away, 40-36.

Anton Shoutvin cut the different in half with the first possession of the half, but Ukraine replied with a 12-0 run led by Sizov.

Israel tried to answer, but Gladyr woke up after a few sleepy minutes and kept his team on top on the way to his team's biggest win in the tournament.
